This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group™ and Litter Genie, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #petparents http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV.
Every single cat litter that I have bought has had a common thing to it, it’s says that it will control the odor. The litters all claim that the chemicals in there that will help fight the smell. I don’t know about you, but every single one that we have tried there is still a smell. I’m sure that some are better than others and they do help, but the cat litter still smells AWFUL! Right now my cat’s litter in the storage room and it’s not huge deal because I can just close the door and not worry about it. That is not going to be the case in my new house. We don’t have a storage room, so the cat litter will be in the laundry room. I don’t know about you but I have a hard enough time getting motivated to do laundry and the idea of a smelling cat litter doesn’t make me want to be in there and do laundry. I do not need another reason not to do laundry, I have plenty of excuses already :).
I decided that the smell needed to be taken care of it. I did this with the Litter Genie.
I got the Litter Genie from Target. It was a great price plus there is a $3 off coupon too.

It’s a very simple system, but a great idea. You just scoop up the poop, put it into the Litter Genie. Then pull the tray and it goes into the bag. Then the tray goes over it and the locks in the smell. The bag will last about 2 months for one cat.
Since this is going to be in a room that I’m going to be in a lot, I wanted to make it cute and match my laundry room decor. Washi tape to the rescue!

I just put some washi tape around the bottom.

We sure love our kitty, she’s super laid back. She even tolerates the kisses from my baby :).
