Easy Holiday Food- Reindeer Gelato Bars #HolidayMadeSimple

My family loves to entertain.   I especially love it.  I am a very social person and I love to throw parties for the holidays or go to parties.  I am not a great baker though.  Never have been.  Last year I thought that I would make up some kind of baked good for a neighbor gift.  It was awful.  Completely messed it up.  So this year I decided that when it came to the dessert, I would just go and buy some gelato bars and then turn them into fun reindeer (because I’m good at doing that).  Anytime I can make something cute but spend less time in the kitchen, the better.  Plus I thought that these would make adorable neighbor gifts, so I made a free printable to go with them too.  Something that is already made, yummy and good, that’s the way to do it!   This is how #HolidayMadeSimple is done.

I headed to Walmart to get the gelato bars.  I found them in the freezer novelties section.  

They had a  lot of choose from, but I went with the HÄAGEN-DAZS® Gelato Bars in the flavor of caramel vanilla pizzelle.  Anything that has chocolate and caramel is amazing to me!

I bought a couple boxes.  Don’t they look amazing?  They are, trust me!

Using my electronic cutter, I cut out some reindeer antlers out of card stock and then the rest of the face out of vinyl.  I then use some baker’s twine and a little bell for it’s rein. 

I glued the antlers on with hot glue (very carefully so I didn’t melt the plastic).  Then I put on the vinyl, drew a mouth and tied the twine around.  It was so easy and I love how they turned out!

I then added it with other super easy holiday foods, like these snowman cheese balls, cheese and grape tree and Santa pizza bites.

Because I thought that these would be such great gifts too, I made a fun printable to go with it.  I love puns, they are my favorite.  I love coming up with them!  I know that it’s fun to give out a box of brownies or cookies for neighbor gifts, but honestly I think about how many times I’ve gotten them and never made the up.  So this year I thought,  “Why give someone extra “work”?”. So I just gave them something that they can enjoy right away.  I guarantee these won’t just sit in the freezer for 2 years not being eaten :).

Aren’t these gelato bars so much fun??  I love them and can’t wait to give them to my friends.
