My little girl’s room is starting to come together. I wanted to add a little painting in her room. Instead of using stencils like I normally do, I decided to just paint it free handed. It was actually very simple to do and really anyone can do this. My favorite kind of paint is crafter’s acrylic so I used that to paint the canvas.
I used several colors of the acrylic paint from DecoArt. It was fun to just blend them and just have fun with the paint. I just used 16×20 white canvas.
First I painted one section green.
Then I added some purple and then just started painting. I just winged it, that’s the fun of painting free hand.
Then I drew some flowers.
My favorite thing that I like about crafter’s acrylic paint is that it’s thick, so I was able to paint over things that I didn’t like or blend the colors together.
Once I finished it, I just added some command strips and then put it onto the wall.
And here it is in her room.
I love the bright colors of the painting and how it looks in her room.
