Masking Tape Race Track

August 13, 2013 by Kaysi 2 Comments

It is getting to the end of summer and my kids are really starting to get bored.  They like to play outside but end up turning on the water and making a huge mess with mud, so I don’t let them go out unsupervised.  They are running out of things to do that actually entertain them for longer than 10 minutes.
I saw this idea on Pinterest a long time ago and have been wanting to do it for awhile.  I finally did and it was awesome!
Masking Tape Race Track
I just took a couple rolls of masking tape and made a track all over our living room.

The kids had a blast with it!

The best part for them was I let them add to the track.  I gave them the tape and they got creative!

My older two sons really got creative.  Here my son is making intersections and yield signs.  My other son made a gas station (a bottle of water) and they had to drink it (to fill up on gas) whenever they passed.  By the end there was a train track and parking lots and some stores to drive to.

So if you’re kids are bored, give them so masking tape and let them get creative!I would love it if you followed along.
