Painted Barbeque Shirt

July 22, 2014 by Kaysi 14 Comments

I am obsessed with my Silhouette.  It’s by far my favorite cutting machine.  It does everything that I need it to do and more!  Especially with the Designer Edition, you can do a ton of things with it.  The main upgrade for the designer edition is that can you can design a .svg file and then cut it in Silhouette studio!  Awesome, right?  There are even more things that you can do it with too.

I am using my Silhouette CAMEO non stop right now since I’m decorating my house.  I just love how good things turn out!  For my husband’s birthday last month, I wanted to make him a fun shirt.  I’ve seen this one before and it cracks me up.

All I did was designed it in Silhouette studio and cut it out in vinyl.

Using transfer paper, I transferred it to the shirt.

I took off the transfer paper and now it’s ready to go.

I used black fabric paint and using a up and down motion, painted the whole thing.

I took off the vinyl and it looks great!  Super easy project!  I plan on making lots more fun shirts for my husband to wear!

Love this. I love stenciling with my Silhouette, though I haven't yet tried it on fabric. Adding this to my Silhouette projects board.

Oh my gosh. What a fun shirt! Funny thing is my 3 yr old grandson calls girls "grills" but its so cute and I never think of a BBQ grill. We tell him he has permission to always say it wrong cuz its so cute. Sometimes you don't want them to grow up. Anyway, I think this shirt would even be cute on him for that reason! hahah

Very cute! I'm sure hubs would love it. He thinks he's a master griller.
