Santa and Teacher Gifts #GiveExtraGum

I love candy and chocolate.  And I love to make treats and give them out during the Christmas season.  But have you ever wondered if those people that you are giving the treats to are on a diet? Or if they are sick of getting treats?  Like our kids’ teachers, do you think that they like all the treats as gifts?  I know for me I like all the treats but it really starts to be too much.  So this year I’m giving the teachers something extra special.  It’s sugar free, yummy and cute!  Can’t go wrong with gum, right?  🙂  I also made some for Santa too, because this year he is on a diet and doesn’t want cookies.

I headed to Walmart and got some Extra gum.  I love all the different flavors of their gum.  Since these are gifts, I stuck with the basic mint flavors: Spearmint, Polar Ice and Peppermint.  I love that they are at the checkout stands, it’s nice and convenient.

This is such a simple project that I bet you already have things at your house that you can make them with.  I made up a fun printable to put on the make of them.  All you need is gum, red or white paper, string or twine, ribbon, pop top, and then vinyl (or paper).  I cut out the vinyl with my electronic cutter but you can easily use a punch or scissors.

First I wrapped up the gum in the paper.  Just like I would wrap a present.

Then I put on the vinyl.

Next I decorated them with ribbon and baker’s twine.  I also drew the mouth on the snowman.

I cut out the free printable and then taped it onto the back of the gum.

And that’s it!!  So easy to make, especially if you use the printable.  It will only take a few minutes to make.  It’s so easy that you could have your kids do it too!  And I bet that the teachers will appreciate something refreshing and not so sweet, so #GiveExtraGum :).
