Silhouette Promotion: Fabric Ink

December 29, 2011 by Kaysi 1 Comment

It’s time for another Silhouette promotion!!  Do you have some Christmas money that you’ve been saving?  Well you’re in luck because you can get the new CAMEO plus the fabric ink starter kit for just $299, that’s a $40 savings!  Just use code SIMPLE for the discount.  Already for a Silhouette, you can get 20% off all fabric ink products!
Starter kit includes:
  • 2 oz bottle of black fabric ink
  • 3 feet of see-through stencil vinyl and clear transfer tape
  • Silhouette hook
  • mixing tray
  • sea sponge
  • foam brush
  • exclusive download card good for 10 stencil designs
  • idea booklet and instruction guide
  • instructional DVD

Here’s what I made with the fabric ink starter kit, I fun scarf.
This is how I made it:
1) I cut out the fabric ink vinyl with the CAMEO.  I used the same settings as I do with vinyl: blade 1, thickness 12 and speed 8
2) I the peeled away the design, leaving the stencil.
3) I then put the transfer paper over the design.
4) I then put the stencil onto the fabric and then took off the transfer paper.
5) I painted the scarf.
Here is it all done
6) I took off of the vinyl and ironed the ink (once it was dry) to set in the fabric.
The fabric ink is really fun to use, you can do a variety of things with it.  Here are a few more examples that you can do with it.
