St. Patrick’s Day Kids Craft Idea: Little Girl’s Shamrock Necklace

March 14, 2014 by Kaysi 2 Comments

Disclosure: I was given product to create with, all opinions, content and ideas are 100% my own.
My little girl has been wanting to make a necklace for awhile.  She sees my kids craft supplies and see the beads in them, so finally I decided that it was time to make her a cute necklace.  This one will be perfect for her to wear for St. Patrick’s Day.  The best part is that she did most of the work herself :).

This is how I made it:
I use a green pipe cleaner, some elastic cord, pony bead and letter beads, all from Craft Project Ideas.

First thing I did was take one pipe cleaner and shape it into a shamrock.  After each heart shape, I twisted the pipe clean in the middle to keep its shape.

Then I had my little girl put the letters on.  I picked them out for her and then I told her what letter goes on (it never hurts to have a little teaching lesson in the middle of a craft session).

Here is the shamrock with the word Luck on it.  To make sure they stayed, I folded up the bottom of the pipe cleaner and twisted it into a little ball.

Next I tied some elastic cord on to the pipe cleaner and then had her put on the colors of the rainbow.

And that’s it!  Super easy and so much fun!

Can you tell that she loves it?
