4th of July is right around the corner, I can’t believe it!! I love the 4th of July, it’s a fun idea so I enjoy decorating for it. I decided to do a flag pillow this year, using what I had at home.
This is how I made it:
I took some shirts that were too small or ratty.
I cut them up into 1” strips
Then I cut the strips into 1”x4”
I laid the strips down on a piece of fabric that was 18”x18”. I made sure to leave 1” on the side and the top, so when I sew the pillow together I won’t sew the t-shirts into it. I then sewed all of them onto the fabric.
I flipped the first row over and then pinned the next row and then I sewed that row on.
I continued doing that until the blue was done. Then I moved onto the white.
I did the same thing for the stripes. Then I put two pieces of fabric (18”x10” and 18”x17”) onto the front piece. Then I sewed all of the sides together.
I flipped it inside out and then stuffed a pillow into it. And that’s it!!
My little boy was super excited about it!!!
I`m delighted with the idea. Kaysi, you are really keeping it simple, but yet so perfect!
