Whatever Wednesday: Let it Snow Pillow

January 4, 2012 by Kaysi 6 Comments

Winter is officially here and so it’s time to decorate for it!!  I needed one more pillow for my couch, I like to have two because one just seems weird.  So I made a Let it Snow pillow.
This is how I made it:
1) I cut out let it snow 20 times out of white heat transfer vinyl from Expressions Vinyl.  I then cut out one out of glitter heat transfer from Craft Vinyl.  My awesome CAMEO did it in no time, too bad peeling off the excess took some time.
2) I ironed it onto the front of my pillow.  The piece of fabric was 15×24″
Here it is all ironed on
3) I sewed the pillow cover altogether.  The back pieces were 15×17 and 15×10.
4) I stuff it with a pillow. Super easy!
Here is the glitter one, I love how it stands out!
And now I have two winter pillows for my couch.
Now let’s hope that winter does the opposite of this pillow, because I really don’t care for snow :).

Remember that the Silhouette promotion is still going on.  You can get the fabric ink starter ink and the new CAMEO for just $299 (a $40 savings!).  Use code SIMPLE at checkout. You can also get 20% off of all fabric ink products.  Sale ends tomorrow, so don’t miss out!

Love the pillow! I got a new Silhouette before Christmas but have been so busy that I haven't had time to use it yet. Your projects are definitely inspiration to get in there and start cutting!
