School papers…. I have a love/hate relationship with them. I love to look back at them and see all the cute things my kids used to do back when they were younger, but I hate the craziness of them!! Please tell me I am not the only one that has piles of school papers that I want to keep and has no clue what to do with them! I have three kids in school (four beginning next year) so my piles are really starting to get big. So I came up with an idea to help control the craziness of the papers, I made each one of my kids a binder. Then I made some super cute printables to go with them. I made the printables as a title page and made two sizes. One is a full page that can go into page protector and one is smaller, perfect for using an inkjet label printer or anything similar for custom printables. You could have just one binder for all the papers or you could do one binder (or even a basket with a label on it) per year, either way it’s a great way to keep all of the papers organized.
This is how I made it:
I printed out the printables. You can get the full sized ones here, and the small ones here. I used 2″ 3 ringed binder for the binders, page protectors, and a three hole punch.
First I wrote down the year, the teacher and the school that my child went to on each one of the pages. Then I put it into a page protector and put it into the binder.
Now for the fun part, going through all the papers and putting them in! Some of them I put into page protectors and some of them I just punched holes into. It was super easy to do and the kids love going through it!
And that’s it!! You can go as fancy as you want with them. You could decorate the front or the spine if you want. I went simple and just put their kindergarten pictures in the front of the binder. I love how they look though and I love that all of their papers are organized and they can go back and read all the fun things that they made.
