Hi! I am Britni and I blog over at Play. Party. Pin. I am so excited to be guest posting for Kaysi today while she plays with her family in Utah. For those of you who didn’t know, I am actually Kaysi’s niece even though we’re only a year apart. My dad is the oldest of nine kids and Kaysi is the youngest. I am a stay-at-home mom to a seven-month old boy (a few weeks older than Kaysi’s youngest) who just decided he doesn’t want to stay put anymore and crawls all over the place. When I’m not chasing my little one, I love planning and hosting parties. My blog is all about my party ideas from recipes, to crafts, to the perfect game to go with your party theme. I’d love it if you wanted to stop by my blog sometime to say hi.
One of the keys to a great party is the food because people always remember the food, for better or for worse. As a way to make sure that people remember my parties even after they’re over, I like to send my guests home with edible party favors. Like I said, people always remember the food so if you can give them something yummy to take home with them, even better. So this Thanksgiving, try sending guests home with pumpkin pie served up in a mini mason jar and I bet they ask to come back again next year.
I’m not a big fan of your typical pumpkin pie so I actually filled my jars with pumpkin delight, a combination of pumpkin pie and cheesecake. You can find the recipe on my blog. This is perfect for these little jars because you get the nice layered effect but if you want to make a typical pie in a mason jar, Our Best Bites has some great tips.
If you don’t want to use these as favors you could easily just serve them as part of your dessert spread for Thanksgiving. They’d be totally cute with a stamped wooden spoon all lined up together on a cute serving platter. But if you’re like me and want to send them home with your guests, just add a little embellishment, pop those lids on, and you’re done. I used ribbon and these cute printables from Catch My Party but you could use whatever you have lying around the house.
Are you a fan of pumpkin pie or are you like me and prefer something else?

This is such a good idea for a holiday party favor. Mason jars + pumpkin pie + mini = perfect!

These are super cute food favors. Not sure I'd want to make them for the 50 plus people we're having Thanksgiving with but maybe for another time! Pinning.

Hey Britni,
I'm not a big fan of pumpkin either, but I'm thinking chocolate or coconut could be substituted as well. Thanks for sharing another too stinkin' cute idea. <3 Kim. p.s. Those Thankful Jars were a huge hit at my Leverett cousin's DIVA night!
