$1 Heart Garland

January 24, 2013 by Kaysi 5 Comments

Can you believe it, I actually decorated for Valentine’s Day?   I can’t believe it either because I personally can’t stand pink, I just don’t like the color.  But this year I said, what the heck and made a few decorations.  When I was at the dollar store the other day, I saw this super cute glitter hearts and I immediately knew that I wanted to make some garland out of them.

This is how I made it:
Here are the hearts that I got from the dollar store.

I put them side by side and sewed them together.  Using the heart, I pushed the other heart through the sewing machine and pushed it until it was also under the needle.  It was super easy and only took a couple of minutes.

When I dab on hot glue, I hung up the garland.

I had a few extra, so I decided to put it around one of my candle warmers.

And that’s it, super easy and fun!

I would love it if you followed along.

Very cute. I've got some of these hearts from another project, I'll be making a garland now too. Thanks for the idea!
