3 Cheese Chicken Parmesan with Ragu Homestyle Sauce

August 8, 2016 by Kaysi 37 Comments

Finding a meal that everyone in the family likes is not always an easy task, especially for our family.  We have a couple really picky eaters and the second they see something new they immediately start frowning and asking what it is.  Does that happen to anyone else?  Every time for us.  Well this recipe was a new one for our family and they did their usually frowning, until they tried it.  My two picky eaters both went for seconds, I was so pleased!  Everything about this chicken parmesan is great, but the Ragu Homestyle sauce really takes it to the next level!  It is oh so yummy!

This is what you’ll need:
For the breading:
2 sleeves of buttery snack crackers
2-3 eggs
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4-1/2 tsp onion powder
1/4-1/2 tsp garlic powder
For the pasta:
1 package spaghetti
1 jar Ragu Homestyle sauce (I used Thick & Hearty Garlic)
16 oz cottage cheese
1 cup mozzarella cheese
16 oz ricotta cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 Tbsp oregano
1/2 Tbsp parsley
1/2 Tbsp basil
1) Blend the crackers, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper.  Dip the chicken into the crackers and then into the eggs and then back into the crackers, covering the whole chicken.
2) Fry the chicken in oil for 10 minutes (5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown). Set aside.
3) Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the box.
4) Mix the cheeses and seasonings into bowl.
5) Put Ragu sauce onto bottom of casserole dish. Then put 1/2 of the cooked noodles onto the sauce.  Add the cheese mixture and then add the rest of the noodles.  Then add some more sauce to the noodles.
6) Add the chicken and then top with more sauce and mozzarella cheese.
7) Bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes.
And that’s it!
It’s so amazing and yummy!
I love all of the new Ragu Homestyle sauces, they taste so great with any pasta.  My favorite thing about them is that they taste like a sauce that I would make myself, but this is so much easier :).
