4th of July Treat Idea: Flag and Star Candy Pouches

The 4th of July is this week!!  I couldn’t not make my candy pouches for the holiday, so I decided to do something really simple and cute.  Little flags and stars.  These are so easy and fun to make.  I love how they turn out too!

This is how I made them:
I took some red, white and blue chocolate candies, sandwich bags, card stock and a glue gun and paper straws.

I cut two pieces of card stock with my paper trimmer.  They were 4×6 inches and then I cut an inner rectangle, leaving a 1/2 inch border.

I glued down the sandwich bag to the rectangle.  I just put the glue around the edge.

I then glued down the bottom of the top piece, so I could start adding the candies.

I put the candies in and then glued all the edges down.  The hot glue melts the plastic so the top and bottom paper glue together.

To one of the flags, I added some fun washi tape.

I glue on some paper straws and that’s it!  I also made one with a star shape.
