Thanksgiving and Christmas are coming up and one of my favorite foods of the holiday season are the pies! I love walking around the store and seeing all the different pies, it just gets me super excited about the holidays, especially Thanksgiving. Whenever we get together with family for Thanksgiving, there are always a several different kinds of pie and it’s so fun and yummy. I thought that it would be fun to create something that was more than just a piece of pie on a plate with Cool Whip on top. These mini jars with apple pie in them were a huge hit with my family and also #ThankfullySweet. I know that they would be awesome at any holiday meal or party.

I headed to Walmart to get everything that I needed to make them. I found the Cool Whip and Mrs. Smith’s pies in the frozen dessert section. If you purchase them together, you can save $1.00 with this coupon.

This is what you will need:
Mrs. Smith’s Apple Pie
Cool Whip
Mini jars- I used baby food jars.
Graham crackers (crushed)
1 tsp melted butter per jar
1) The first thing I did was set out the pie for 10 minutes while I preheated the oven to 400*. Once the oven was preheated, I cut slits into the pie and then I put it in the oven and let it bake for 45-50 minutes.

2) While the pie was baking, I made a little graham cracker crust for the jar. I crushed up a few graham crackers and then added 1 tsp of melt butter to the graham cracker. I then put it into the fridge to let it cool and harden a little.

3) Once the pie was done, I added a little bit of the pie into the jar. Look at how big and yummy those apples look. They were delicious.

4) You can’t have pie without whip cream, it’s just wrong. So I put a spoon full of Cool Whip on top of the apple pie.

To make it more fun, I decided to make a fun little printable that fits perfectly around the mini jar. Isn’t it so fun? I love how they look! I made up two sayings, you can get them here.

And that’s it! Very easy to do since it was a frozen pie and it was oh so yummy! This will be a huge hit for the holidays this year!
