DIY Fortnite Battle Royale Shirt
Anyone else’s kids obsessed with Fortnite?? Mine are! I feel like that is all they talk about, 85% of the day. All of my boys love it and I figured that instead of fighting it, I might as well embrace it and make them stuff! Since Fortnite is still pretty new, it’s hard to find things for it, so I made them all a shirt. I love how it turned out and they are excited to wear it to school!
Here is a video to show you how to make it 🙂
This is how I made it.
I started with a blank shirt and then some smooth heat transfer vinyl. I used the colors: black, silver and lemon yellow.
Cut out the design with my Silhouette CAMEO and then weeded it. Make sure that the design is mirrored and that you put the shiny/plastic side down onto the mat before cutting it. You can the cut file here:
Using a heat press, I pressed the heat transfer vinyl into the shirt for 15 seconds. Before putting the HTV onto the shirt, I pressed the shirt for 15 seconds to take out the wrinkles and moisture of the shirt. You can do this with an iron too, just use lots of pressure and hold the iron onto it for 10-15 seconds.
Once the it was pressed on, I then peeled off the plastic and then put on the other layer. In between layers, I used a heat press cover sheet to protect the design.
And that’s it! Super fun and easy and it looks really good on the shirt.
The heat transfer vinyl looks amazing and it looks like a store bought shirt.
Here is it on my son, he’s pretty excited about it!
