Easy DIY Music Notes Shirt with SVG File
I love music. It has always been a big part of my life. Music just makes me happy!! Recently I just got a new craft bundle that is full of fonts and SVG files and I saw this music notes SVG file and I knew that I needed to make something with it, I loved it so much!! I thought that it would look great on a shirt, and I was right! I love how it turned out and it was super easy to make!
Here is a quick video to show you the process of how to make it!
This is how I made it:
This shirt can be made with heat transfer vinyl or with paint. I cut the music notes file out of stencil vinyl using my Silhouette CAMEO. The music notes file is part of the craft bundle, but you can buy it individually too. The file comes a .PNG but when you cut it, you just have to open up the notes.dxf file and it is all ready to cut. All you have to do is make it the size that you want and click send to Silhouette, I’m all for easy!
To make a stencil with the vinyl, I removed all of the music notes.
Using grid transfer tape, I put the stencil vinyl onto the shirt.
Using a stencil brush, I then painted the design white with white fabric paint.
Here it is all painted :).
Once the paint was completely dry, I removed the vinyl from the shirt. **Make sure the paint is dry, you can use a blow dryer to help speed up the process.**
Using a little hook tool, I then removed all the little pieces of the vinyl.
And that’s it!! It looks amazing and I love how it turned out!
Here is a close up of the design, the lines are nice and crisp and the paint looks amazing. You can get the SVG file here.
