Why do weekends go so darn quick?? Seriously, you take a four hour nap on Sunday and all the sudden it’s over :D. But really, weekends go so fast and I am NEVER ready for them to end. I love weekends. Even though I am a mom, weekends are kinda my day off. My hubby is awesome and he does a lot of things for me so I can have a break. So I just love weekends :). I saw this cute shirt on my instragram one day and I knew that I HAD to make one like it, because I really wanted a Monday shirt.
This shirt is super easy to make, especially since I have already designed it ;). All you have to do is cut it out. I made up the Silhouette file and SVG (both of them are mirrored because you have to have it mirrored when cutting out heat transfer vinyl. You can get the files here:
This is how I made it:
I used a jade colored glitter heat transfer vinyl from Expressions Vinyl but you can use any color that you want (I really wanted to do a silver glitter HTV but didn’t have enough). I then cut it out with my Silhouette CAMEO. I used the same settings a flocked heat transfer vinyl (blade 3, depth 33). Make sure you put the shiny (the plastic side) face down onto the mat.
I then weeded the excess vinyl.
Then I ironed on the vinyl. You will want to put the iron onto the plastic and let it sit for about 5 seconds and then move it to another spot. You do that until you get all the of the surface and all of the vinyl is on the shirt.
Then you take off the plastic. I like to turn the shirt around and iron it from the back, just to make sure the vinyl is on there good.
And that’s it! Isn’t it so much fun?!? I seriously love how the glitter vinyl looks on the gray shirt.
Here is a close up of glitter vinyl, it’s so pretty and looks so good!
And here it is on! This is now officially my Monday shirt :).
