Jeans into Skirt Refashion

February 15, 2013 by Kaysi 1 Comment

You know that moment in your pregnancy when you realize that you have nothing to wear because you’ve gotten too big?  That happened to me on a Saturday night, I was trying on some skirts for church the next day and nothing fit.  I had nothing to wear.  So I went to my box of maternity clothes and found a pair of shorts (well jeans that I made into shorts) and decided that they would look better as a skirt.

And here is the after!

Using this tutorial I did a couple of years ago, I made it into a skirt.  Then I used some grey knit fabric for the ruffles.

Here’s a close up of the back, I love the ruffles!

I paired the skirt with some yellow tights and boots.  Everything turned out to be okay in the end Smile

I would love it if you followed along.

Cute! I hate "out-growing" my maternity clothes. Great way to breath new life into them and make it work!
