Melty Beads {Kids Crafts}

July 24, 2013 by Kaysi Leave a Comment

Disclosure: I was given this product to play with and create with for free.
I am always on the look out for a fun kids craft.  This one was great!  All 4 of my kids thoroughly enjoyed it.  I got the jumbo melty beads from Craft Project Ideas.

These are super easy to make!  You just place the beads on the peg board and then iron it to melt the beads together.

I let my kids just create their own and then I did the ironing.

You put the wax paper over the beads and then heat it for 30 seconds to a minute.  Then iron the other side the same way.

Here is what we created.

For Family Home Evening (it’s an evening that we have a church lesson, sing songs, have an activity and treats) I gave a lesson about things we are grateful that Heavenly Father gave us. I had the kids make something that they were grateful for.  I wanted it to be something that Heavenly Father gave us. So this is what they made: a kitty cat, wheat (for bread), baby Koy, watermelon (that was mine) and then my 4 year old made a gun.  It made me laugh! The mind of a 4 year old boy, of course he made a gun, ha!

I would love it if you followed along.
