My Craft Room REVEAL!

October 2, 2012 by Kaysi 76 Comments

I am so excited to show you my craft room today!  By far my favorite room in the house.  I just love how it turned out and it’s so awesome to be able to have a room all to myself.  I got to make it super girly and cute and use all the colors that I wanted.  The room before was just ugly, dark and so boring, as you can see in these before pictures.  After a month of working constantly at it and using 5 cans of spray paint, I have a colorful and awesome craft room to go and create in!
So let’s get started on the tour, shall we?  I’ll let the pictures do most of the talking :).

One of the first things I did in this room is put in a chandelier for some much needed light!  It was so dark and so hard to see in here before.  And I love it now!
craft room (41)
I am seriously in love with the colors I picked.  I pretty much spray painted everything so everything would match perfectly.  And yes, that’s a tv on my wall.  I could seriously stay in here all day if my kids and husband would let me!  It’s even hooked up to satellite, so I can watch HGTV and sew at the same time.
craft room (31)
I made a big K and a light fixture plate for the MiniBox.   I also made some chevron mirrors for the wall.
craft room (12)
I decorated my Expedit Shelf and desk from Ikea, with lots of baskets to keep me organized.  I didn’t want to over stuff the shelves, so that I didn’t look like I am the craft hoarder, even though I really am.  I made some containers out of old buckets.
craft room (5)
This little cabinet is amazing!  It’s called the MiniBox, but don’t let the name fool you, it’s not mini at all.  It can hold a ton of stuff.   This scrapbox from The Original Scrapbox is to die for.  It’s seriously awesome and the look of it, gorgeous.  I love the bead board finish on the doors!
craft room (7)
But wait until you see the inside of it, it’s crazy awesome!
Look at all of those shelves and totes.  I was able to fit all of my rolled vinyl and my 12×12 paper in it and still have room for more craft supplies!  On top of that, there are legs that come down from the table top and you can use it for a desk.  I love me some more work space!  craft room (16)
My fabric storage, I’m getting quite the collection.  Each square is separated by color. I then made some curtains to hide all my mess :).
craft room (20)
My computer desk with a little reminder to keep things simple.  And I redid the lamp shade for the lamp and redid the chair also.
craft room (8)
I spent hours trying to figure out how I was going to organize everything and make everything look good out in the open.  More on how I created everything for this shelf later.
craftroom Collage
Decorating this room was one of my favorite things, it really pulled all of the colors together.
craftroom Collage2
I just love these colors together!
craftroom Collage3
And that my friends is my dream craft room!  Everything turned out just like I wanted it to.  I love being in here and being in somewhere that is pretty, it  really helps me want to create so much more.  This room is much better than the corner of the laundry room  I had before, or my boring room that I shared with the guest bed that had a little desk and with no character or style.

I have a ton of tutorials to show you how I created my craft room, so I hope that you come back and check out how I made everything!
Let’s keep in touch!

That is one lovely craft room! How could you not be inspired every time you walked into it? I love it! I finished my craft space, but have yet to paint it and give it any kind of color scheme. This definitely makes me want to use some green in there! Nice job!
