New England Pot Roast #RecipeMakers

August 6, 2013 by Kaysi Leave a Comment

When it comes to recipes, I like quick and easy.  I don’t have the time or energy to spend hours in the kitchen cooking.  I especially love products that make cooking easier and quicker.  Kraft just came out with some new meal starters, called Recipe Makers.  I’m always up for some help in the kitchen :).
New England Pot Roast

I headed to Safeway and checked out the Recipe Makers.  I found them with the marinades and other meal starters.  I thought that this New England Pot Roast one looked yummy (and boy was it!).
Remember how I said I like easy.  I completely forgot to put it in the crock pot until 30 minutes before we had to leave for church.  I was able to get it all ready and in the crock pot with 10 minutes to spare!
This is what you will need:
Kraft Recipe Makers New England Pot Roast
1 lb red potatoes, diced
1 package baby carrots
1 onion, diced
1 roast
New England Pot Roast (1)
You put the veggies and roast into the crock pot.  I put 3/4 of the carrots in first and place the roast on top of them.  I added a cup or two of water too.  Then I added the rest of the veggies.  I then put in the simmer sauce.  Cook on high for 6 to 8 hours or on low for 8 to 10 hours.

15 minutes before eating, add the finishing sauce and cover and cook for 15 minutes on high.

This was so delicious!  I thoroughly enjoyed it and all my kids loved it too.  The herb sauce gave the roast a sweet taste, that was my favorite thing about it.  As I was eating, I had to force myself to stop getting more and more because it was so good.  Pretty sure I had thirds :).

There were seven different flavors at Safeway, I can’t wait to try some more of the Kraft #RecipeMakers.   There are 3 different ways to cook them, crock pot, skillet or oven.  Each one has a certain way to cook. All of them you add fresh ingredients and combine them with their unique and flavorful sauces.

I would love it if you followed along.
