When I got done with the four pillows on my bed I felt like I needed another pillow, one that was smaller and a different shape. I love the look of the “tootsie roll” pillows so I wanted to make one of those. But I had no clue how to do it and didn’t know if I had enough sewing skills to do it, so I decided to whip out my trusty glue gun and make a no sew pillow.
This is how I made it:
I took an old pillow (a very dirty old pillow) that I had gotten for a pillow sham. I have no need for the sham and I didn’t want to throw away a decent pillow.
I rolled the pillow (like a jelly roll) and then used some thick ribbon to keep it in place. Yes I was making things up as I went along… I glued the ribbon together and then put a couple of hand stitches into the ribbon to make sure they stayed in place.
Then I cut out some fabric, just enough to go around the pillow and then about 3” longer for the sides.
I wrapped the pillow and glued the fabric directly onto the pillow. Then I folded over the top fabric, glued it into place and put a few hand stitches here and there.
For the sides I just folded the fabric in and glued it shut.
And that’s it! Super easy to make!
And there are my 5 pillows on my bed. My kids love the new one, it’s just the right size to put under their heads when they are watching tv.

This is awesome to do to old pillows. Thanks!
