#STAROliveOil and Herb Dip

November 15, 2013 by Kaysi 2 Comments

I am a member of the Collective Bias®  Social Fabric® Community.  This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper insights study for Collective Bias and its client.

Italian food is by far my favorite kind of food.  I just love it.  You know when you go to an Italian restaurant and they have that yummy olive oil herb dip for you to dip your bread in?  I just love it, so I decided to make some at home.  It is so easy to make and most likely you have all of the herbs in your spice cupboard already!

I used STAR brand butter olive oil in it, it has a great taste and made the dip full of flavor! I got it from Walmart.

This is what you’ll need for the dip:
1/4 cup STAR olive oil
1/4 tsp kosher salt
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 tsp basil
1/4 tsp oregano
dash of pepper
1/8-1/4 tsp rosemary

Crush the garlic and then in a small bowl mix it with all the dry ingredients.  Then add in the olive oil and stir.  Dip bread in and enjoy!

For some extra flavor in my homemade spaghetti sauce, I sauteed the veggies in the olive oil before added them to my sauce.

It was super yummy!  It’s also great to put onto the noodles for extra flavor too. That’s how my kids like to eat their spaghetti, just with olive oil and Parmesan cheese.  The butter olive oil makes it taste even better to them.

The olive oil is gluten free too.  I made the spaghetti for dinner when we were at my sister in law’s house, who need gluten free foods.  So we put it on some quinoa noodles and we all we able to enjoy the spaghetti.

Right now #STAROliveOil is having a giveaway over on their Facebook page.  Just like their page and you can enter to win a bottle of the butter olive oil.

I would love it if you followed along.

That herb and olive oil dip sounds fantastic. I made some of the other night but this looks like a better version!
