I love Christmas time.  I love the spirit of the season.  People seem happier and they seem to be willing to serve and think about others.  I feel like that the Christmas season brings out the good in people and I just love that.  I think it’s important to give little gifts to the people that are really important in our lives.  I adore my kids’ teachers.  They are amazing and I know that they do so much for my kids, so I like to thank them.  As much as I love treats, it’s hard for me to give treats to people that I don’t know very well.  You never know if they are on a diet or if they can’t have sugar or baked goods, so I thought that Extra Gum would be the perfect gift for them.

I got the gum at Walmart in the candy aisle.  They had a great variety, lots to “chews” from, pun intended :).  I picked up two flavors.  A classic mint flavor and a sugar free flavor, mint chocolate chip.  It’s amazing by the way.

To turn the gum into reindeer to make some fun #ExtraGumMoments. I used my electronic cutter and cut out the faces out of vinyl and the antlers out of card stock.

I cut some brown card stock 3 inches wide and then folded it over the gum.  I then taped it together.

I added the antlers and face.  Then I drew a fun smile with a permanent marker.  Aren’t they so much fun?

I wanted to add a little something else to the reindeer, so I wrapped the bottom with some baker’s twine and added a little bell.

I then made a printable for the back of the reindeer.

I made one that would work for kids’ teachers and then one that would work for friends or really anyone you want.  Because some times it is fun to just say thank you to someone.  I think that I am going to give one to their bus drivers too because they are important in our lives too.  Maybe I’ll just keep one in my purse and give them to someone that has been a great friend to me.

I also turned the Extra Gum into a snowman and Santa too!  You can see the tutorial and get the printable here.
