Halloween is over and if you’re like my family, chances are you have a LOT of Halloween candy in your house right now. Well I decided to take that candy and make it into cute Thanksgiving candy bars. My kids don’t eat the candy as quickly when it’s decorated like this plus it makes a super cute decoration (I have them on display with all of my fall decor on my entry way table. The kids still get to have a little treat, but hopefully it will last a little longer :). Plus this makes a great kids’ craft, it’s super easy and the kids will love cutting out the feathers and hat!
I did all the hard work, so all you have to do is print out the wrappers :). You can get them here:
The size that you cut the wrapper depends on the candy bar that you are using. If you’re using something like Kit Kat or Hershey’s then it will be 3 inches high and 3.5 inches wide. If you are using a Snickers or Milky Way, then the size will be 2.5 inches high and 3.5 inches wide.
Once you have the wrappers cut out, all you do is tape them onto the candy bars.
Next you cut out the feathers and hat and glue it onto the candy bar.
And that’s it! Aren’t they so much fun? I love how cute they are and how fun they turned out!
Here is a quick video to show you the process of how to make them.
These are so fun to have on display or to give away to some friends :).
