Avengers Shirt {I love you 3000}
Raise your hand if you loved the Avengers Endgame movie! We did! It was such a great movie and I love how they ended the Avengers movies. One of my favorite lines from the movie is the I love you three thousand part. I won’t go into much details because I don’t want to spoil the movie for anyone. I saw a few shirts that had this saying on it and I knew that I wanted to make it for my husband for Father’s Day since he is a big fan of the Avengers. It was super easy to make and I love how it turned out.
Here is a quick video to show you the process of how I made the Avengers shirt.
This is how I made it:
I started with a blank shirt. I found this shirt from Walmart. My husband loves how they fit and feel. I then cut out the design with my Silhouette CAMEO. When you are cutting out heat transfer vinyl, you have to mirror the image and put the shiny/plastic side down on the mat before cutting. For this shirt I used a stretch heat transfer vinyl in black and white and then the red is in a really pretty electric red heat transfer. I cut out all of the different colors and then weeded them. I made up the design in Silhouette Studio, you can get the cut files here:
There are two different files, one is for Silhouette studio and one is a SVG file.
Once all of the design was weeded, I then used my heat press to press the design onto the shirt. You don’t have to have a heat press to put heat transfer onto shirts, you can use an iron too. I set my heat press to 305 degrees and I pressure each layer for 10-15 seconds. As you can see in the video, I did each layer separately. I started with the black, I pressed it and then peeled the plastic away. Then I put on the red part and then the white. After peeling off the plastic, I used a multi purpose sheet to protect the vinyl from the hot iron. Once the design was completely on, I moved the shirt to another part of the heat press and pressed it one more time, that was to make sure that the whole design was getting pressed evenly.
And that’s it! Doesn’t it look so great?! I love how it turned out.
It looks great on my husband too :).
This is such a great shirt for any dad who is an Avengers fan!
Since the Avengers shirt turned out so awesome, I made a couple more. This Fathor shirt is epic, I love how it turned out. You can get the cut file here:
I made this shirt the exact same way as the I love you 3000 shirt, I just used a few more colors and it has more layers. That just means that it took a little longer but still super easy. I used the EasyWeed heat transfer in the colors white, red, gray, royal blue and chocolate.
I also made the I love you 3000 shirt but instead of it saying I love you, it’s says we love you 3000. I did this shirt the exact same way as the other Avengers shirt. You can get the cut file for this shirt here:
I seriously love how these Avengers shirts turned out!
Make sure to check out the other shirts I have made.
