Back in September I made some candy pouches for Halloween and fall. They were such a huge hit that I HAD to make them for Christmas too because they are an easy Christmas treat. I love how they turn out and how easy and cute they are! This time I decided to do dress them up a little bit and add a free printable (just a warning, I love cheesy puns!).
***Update I made a couple new designs for these, a snowman and penguin 🙂 *** Here is a video to show how to make the new designs.
This is how I made them:
I first cut out the shapes with my Silhouette. I cut two shapes for each one out of card stock. One that was full and the other one that had a circle or triangle in the middle of it. Then I printed off the free printable tags I made from HERE. Here are the cut files for the Silhouette and SVG:
I put some glue around the edge of the circle with my glue gun and then placed the sandwich bag on top of the circle. Then I filled the bag with the red M&M’s. Make sure not to put too many in there.
I then placed three brown M&M’s in for the buttons. I glued the top circle onto the bottom one. A little tip, touch the sandwich bag with the tip of the glue gun to make a little hole and then place the glue there, that way you can glue the two pieces of card stock together.

I added a few things to spruce them up a little. For the elf and Santa I just added some ribbon and pop top. The reindeer I drew on a mouth and eyes and the tree I added a star.

The elf one is a quote from the movie Elf- The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.

Here are the two new designs, You can get the printable for them here. I used vinyl for their faces and added a cute little fleece scarf on the snowman.

You can use these for a variety of things. Neighbor gifts, class treats, treats for your kids, decorations and more. :)Here are 4 more that I have done for other holidays

So stinkin' cute! Love this idea.
OMG….love this idea!!! Great for the grandkids!!!! Saw you on "Someday Crafts" linky party!
These are really really cute. I'm going to make them as tags for my nieces and nephews Christmas presents instead of adding a candy cane to their packages. Thanks for the printables. : )
What a fun idea, love them.
Stopping by Someday Crafts party and these are TERRIFIC!!!
Is the silhouette like a cricket? Did you buy a cartridge for the cutouts? I am super excited to try this and hand them out!!!
Love love love these….Can you please provide the link to the Silhouette shapes that you used? I am trying to find them but with no luck! Thanks so much!
Soooo cool. Thanks so much for sharing. My daughter and I will be doing this for her classmates gift this year, only we will put something else inside maybe not candy, but homemade baked goods (cookies). Thanks so much again.
Yay, these turned out so well for me. THank you for the brilliance! I would recommend only using cardstock, because my lighter weight paper tended to bend to the bulk of the m&Ms, which was ok with me. Still darling. Also, I don't recommend trying to hot glue a full circle around the ring. Just dots are better and less messy IMHO. Thank you again!
thank you for sharing! I send care packages to military, veterans and their families. this is such a cute way to send candy.
Do you have a superhero version to this? I love love love this idea…..
Do you have a snowman pouch. We have Let it Snow week in January!!
