Easy Christmas Treat M&M Candy Pouches with Free Printables

December 3, 2013 by Kaysi 19 Comments

Back in September I made some candy pouches for Halloween and fall.  They were such a huge hit that I HAD to make them for Christmas too because they are an easy Christmas treat.  I love how they turn out and how easy and cute they are! This time I decided to do dress them up a little bit and add a free printable (just a warning, I love cheesy puns!).

***Update I made a couple new designs for these, a snowman and penguin 🙂 ***  Here is a video to show how to make the new designs.
This is how I made them:
I first cut out the shapes with my Silhouette.  I cut two shapes for each one out of card stock.  One that was full and the other one that had a circle or triangle in the middle of it.  Then I printed off the free printable tags I made from HERE.  Here are the cut files for the Silhouette and SVG:

I put some glue around the edge of the circle with my glue gun and then placed the sandwich bag on top of the circle.  Then I filled the bag with the red M&M’s.  Make sure not to put too many in there.

I then placed three brown M&M’s in for the buttons.  I glued the top circle onto the bottom one.  A little tip, touch the sandwich bag with the tip of the glue gun to make a little hole and then place the glue there, that way you can glue the two pieces of card stock together.

I did that to all the other ones and then trimmed the sides off of the bag.Christmas M&M pouches #freeprintable (6)

I added a few things to spruce them up a little.  For the elf and Santa I just added some ribbon and pop top.  The reindeer I drew on a mouth and eyes and the tree I added a star.Christmas M&M pouches #freeprintable (8)
Using a colored brad, I attached the tag.

The elf one is a quote from the movie Elf- The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.

Here’s a closer look at the tree.  My husband came up with this saying.  I thought it was great.

And lastly the reindeer wishing you to have a Deery Christmas!!

Here are the two new designs,  You can get the printable for them here.  I used vinyl for their faces and added a cute little fleece scarf on the snowman.
You can use these for a variety of things.  Neighbor gifts, class treats, treats for your kids, decorations and more.  :)Here are 4 more that I have done for other holidays

These are really really cute. I'm going to make them as tags for my nieces and nephews Christmas presents instead of adding a candy cane to their packages. Thanks for the printables. : )

Soooo cool. Thanks so much for sharing. My daughter and I will be doing this for her classmates gift this year, only we will put something else inside maybe not candy, but homemade baked goods (cookies). Thanks so much again.

Yay, these turned out so well for me. THank you for the brilliance! I would recommend only using cardstock, because my lighter weight paper tended to bend to the bulk of the m&Ms, which was ok with me. Still darling. Also, I don't recommend trying to hot glue a full circle around the ring. Just dots are better and less messy IMHO. Thank you again!
