Cute Baby Yoda Sticker
Oh baby Yoda, why do you have to be so cute?!?! Seriously though, isn’t he the cutest?! I am obsessed with him. I had a couple kids ask me to make some Star Wars and baby Yoda stickers to put on their water bottles. I did it the only way I know how, using vinyl :). I love how these turned out and I can’t wait to make more.
Here is a quick video to show you the process of making these baby Yoda stickers using vinyl.
This is how I made them.
For these I used Oracal 631, which is removable vinyl. It is recommended to use a more permanent vinyl like Oracal 651. I would at least use a permanent vinyl for the white backing. Either way, you should let the vinyl cure for 24 hours before using the water bottle. I used the colors black matte and white matte in Oracal 651 and then I used the colors olive, light brown and beige in the Oracal 631.
Using my Silhouette CAMEO, I cut out the baby Yoda design. There are several layers to this design, I cut out each color individually. In order to make it a sticker you have to cut a backing piece, that is what the white is for. That way you don’t need transfer paper to put the vinyl onto the water bottle. Once the designs were cut out, I then weeded the vinyl. Here is what the design looks like in the different colors. You can get the cut file here.
I then started putting the baby Yoda sticker together. I first put the transfer tape (clear is a must) onto the black outline and then I added the brown body, then the tan part and then finally the green. If you watch the video, it will make more sense. When you are putting the outline onto the different colors, you have to match it up as close as you can.
I then put the whole thing onto the white vinyl, now making it one solid piece rather than several pieces held together by the transfer tape.
Now we have a cute baby Yoda sticker! You can peel it off like a sticker and put it onto the water bottle.
And that’s it! Here is the baby Yoda sticker on a water bottle, it looks so good!
I made up a couple more baby Yoda stickers and then a Star Wars one too.
It was fun decorating the water bottle to make it look like a Hydro Flask water bottle, since those are all the rage right now.
I love how these look on the water bottle.
Since this is vinyl, you will have to hand wash the water bottle and be careful with it. Don’t scrub it too hard and don’t soak it too much. I plan on just having water in my water bottle, so I just have to rinse it out and not wash it too much.
I love this cute baby Yoda design so much, that I made a baby Yoda shirt with it!
I made a quick video to show you the process of how I made it. You get the more details on how to make shirts, here. I used an Easyweed heat transfer vinyl and used the colors black, cream and chocolate. The green one is actually from Amazon.
I love how it turned out, it’s so cute and fun!
I’m definitely going to be wearing this shirt a lot 🙂
