Parks and Recreations Shirts with SVG Cut Files

Parks and Recreations is one of our favorite shows. There are so many things that we love about it too. When I’m making shirts for my husband or me, I like to make shirts that only make sense to people who have watched the show. There are so many great characters in Parks and Rec, Ron Swanson, Ben Wyatt and so many more. Here are the Parks and Rec shirts that I made up for us.

If you haven’t put heat transfer vinyl on a shirt before, check out this tutorial on how to do it. Here is a quick video of the process of how to put the vinyl onto shirts.

I used my Silhouette CAMEO to cut out the designs and then to put on the design, I used this heat press. Make sure when you use the heat transfer vinyl to mirror the image before cutting it out. You can use an iron to do the same thing but you have to make sure you put enough pressure onto the design to make it really adhere to the fibers of the shirt. Each shirt will have two links to the design, the first link is to a Silhouette file and the second link is an SVG cut file.

My husband and I were on a ultimate Frisbee team that was called the Cones of Dunshire, so I made up these shirts for us. They are a huge hit and whenever we wear them, we get compliments on them.

For the Cones of Dunshire shirt I used the stretch heat transfer vinyl in gold, red, and yellow. I used the EasyWeed heat transfer vinyl in green and sky blue.

This next shirt is one of my husband’s favorites. He requested a Ron Swanson shirt one day, I was thinking of making a shirt with Ron’s mustache that said “Please and Thank you” but then I decided that a Duke Silver shirt would be much better. Because Duke Silver is Ron’s secret and it’s just so awesome.

For the Duke Silver shirt I used black stretch heat transfer vinyl.

This Mouse Rat shirt is actually for me, I love all of the music that is in Parks and Rec, especially Andy’s band.

For this shirt, I put on the black circle on first and then layered the red and white onto the black heat transfer vinyl. I used stretch heat transfer in colors black, white and red.

This Li’l Sebastian shirt is another one for me, I love the song 5000 candles that Andy sings for Li’l Sebastian’s funeral, so I wanted a shirt that included both the song and the horse. So I made this shirt.

I just used white stretch heat transfer vinyl for this shirt.

This next Parks and Rec shirt is a part of the show that not a lot of people may not know about it. This is the accounting firm that Ben Wyatt gets offered a job to and turns it down, multiple times. My husband is an accountant, so the whole part with the accountants and the firm is super funny to him and he requested a shirt with the firm’s logo on it.
