Young Women 2023 Theme- More Jesus Sweatshirt

The Young Women theme of 2023 is more Jesus.  The Young Women’s president in my ward contacted me and asked me to make hoodie sweatshirts with the Young Women 2023 theme on them.  I love how they turned out and the girls were thrilled about getting them for Christmas this year. I ended up making 35 of them, so I wanted to share some tricks and tips on how I made these shirts quickly and easily.

For these sweatshirts, I ordered some Gildan hoodies in the color sand. I love the Gildan sweatshirts, they are super soft, thick and inexpensive, a great combination.  When do I lots of of the same shirt, I cut them out several at a time with my Silhouette CAMEO. I used the black stretch heat transfer vinyl. Once the words More Jesus were cut out, I then weeded the vinyl.  You can get the SVG file here:

I then used a centering tool to place the vinyl onto the sweatshirt.

Then using my heat press, I pressed the words onto the sweatshirt. I set the heat press to 320 degrees and pressed it for 20 seconds. I pressed the shirt a total of 3 times, once with the transfer plastic.  I remove the plastic and then press it again with a cover sheet. I then turn the shirt 90 degrees and press it one more time.

To save on time, I set up the other shirts while one is being pressed.  I try to do something every time I press the shirt so when one shirt is done, the next one is ready to be pressed right away.  It definitely saves on time.

And that’s it!  Super easy and fun.

Check out all the other shirts I have made.
